Can any home get battery storage?

Most can, but the switchboard needs capacity for a dedicated circuit, and the battery needs a suitable location out of direct sun and weather, typically a garage or shaded external wall. We confirm both during the site assessment.

How long does battery installation take?

Installed with a new solar system, the battery adds a few hours to the one-day install. As a standalone addition to existing solar, allow half a day to a full day depending on switchboard work.

Will a battery power my house during a blackout?

Only if the system is configured for backup, which requires a compatible hybrid inverter and a sub-board for your essential circuits. A standard grid-tied system shuts down in an outage for safety. We can design for backup where it is required.

Do batteries need their own safety devices?

Yes. Battery systems are installed on a dedicated circuit with appropriate protection, and installation must meet current Australian Standards. Every install we complete comes with a Certificate of Test.
